How it works
You split your income into envelopes — groceries, gas, rent, whatever you actually spend on. As you spend, the envelope goes down. When you get paid, you fill them again. That is the whole idea, and it works because you decide before the money is gone rather than reviewing it afterwards.

What it costs
Pricing is on this page, before you have entered anything. You will never build a whole budget and then discover it was a demo.
Free, with no envelope limit
The full budgeting method: unlimited envelopes, transactions, pay cycles and history. Not a trial, and it does not expire. Two people can share one budget at no cost.
Pay once to unlock extras
A one-time purchase adds spending analytics, CSV export and themes. No subscription, because the app runs on your phone and costs us nothing to keep running.
Optional subscription for cloud backup
Backup, multi-device sync and extra household members are a subscription — the only part of Budgevo with a real running cost, so it is the only part billed that way.
If a subscription lapses, you keep full access to read and export everything you have entered. Your financial history is never held hostage.
About your data
Your data stays on your device unless you turn on sync.
There is no bank linking, no required account, and nothing is uploaded by default. If you choose to turn on backup or share a budget, only then does anything leave your phone. See the privacy policy for specifics.
